{a day to celebrate}

Today, April 6th, is quite an eventful day for church history. It is definitely a day to reflect in gratitude for the many events of this day! Especially a certain birthday!! =)

Also in our little family we've added a baptism celebration to this already happy day! Tyler was baptized on April 6th, 2007. Two years ago he made a choice to make a commitment in his life has blessed his family greatly. As we grow, with little James on the way, we can only begin to count the ways Tyler's decision to make his life an eternal one has blessed each of us individually as well as a family unit. We are so proud of the man he always was and the priesthood holder he has become! The lord has blessed our home in so many ways and we are grateful for everyone of them!

So today we say...Happy Life Changing Day Tyler! We love you so much!

{Gowing Up}

After being off track for a month, Wyatt is getting ready to go back to school today. I was so excited for this day all last week. When you only have one child at home there's no one to keep him busy thus off track time is rough on the "mommy time" to say the least. He's in the other room right now getting his new school outfit on and reminding me "it's 8 o'clock mom" then "it's 8:15 mom" and I realized.....my boy is going back to school......my baby is on his last few months of 5th grade!! He'll be a Jr. High kid in 3 months!!! WOW!!! Where does the time go? I know that here in Grand Terrace the Jr. High is 7th and 8th grade so technically he'll still be at his elementary school next year but my siblings, friends and I all grew up waiting for 6th grade....it was the big number! 6th grade meant you were going to Jr. High!! While Wyatt isn't exactly going to Jr High yet in my mind the fact that he's going to be in 6th grade in 3 months is just as shocking!!!

Only 3 years to high school!!
Only 7 years to graduation!!
Only 8 years to missionary!!
Only.....oh my goodness a family!!

Let's not go that far yet!! =)

{a friend in need}

As some of you know...a friend of mine has to do the worst thing ever...bury one of her little girls! Cheyenne was with us long enough to see her ninth birthday party then she went to live with her father in heaven. The family can not afford the funeral costs and has a link set up that can help them. I am asking all my kind friends, if you are able to please help. If you can not financially help please try to let those you know, who may be able to help, know about the situation and send them the link below. I am grateful for such wonderful people in my life and I want to thank all of you because I know whether or not you are able to donate money to my friend it is truly in your hearts to do so. Cheyenne & parents @ 9th b-day party

A big surprise for Wyatt

So I got a phone call from my brother in law today letting me know of a very special event. I rushed to the bathroom got ready in 10 min fumbled through Wyatt's closet for some special things and called the school to have him waiting in the office for a "doctors appointment".

The clueless little boy getting more and more excited by mom's laughter very patiently changed his shoes, re-gelled the hair, refreshed the deodorant and grab some gum with out pressing too much to get the "surprise" out of me.

As we pulled up to the Office Depot in Rancho Cucamonga his eyes were big as saucers! "No way mom!" "Is his car really here?" and "Oh my gosh" were the only things he could manage to say then as I said "Yup...and so is he" the hyper active boy froze speechless.....really he froze!

So off he goes on the best day of his life....

Then a photo with Tony's new team car...of course still supporting the #20...

Waiting in line....finally words in a whisper...."Mom I'm just so excited!"

Then this is what happens when you let the drunk lady behind you take the picture while you get your hat signed... Tony was only letting people take pictures as your rushed through but...

This is what happens when you're mother is the worlds greatest smoozer.... You get a private (minus his guys), behind the scene, after public signing, visit with Tony Stewart...

And he actually looks up to let you get a good picture....

Then a boys miracle happens...Tony Stewart asks your 11 year old speechless son to give him a hug...

Walking on cloud nine we stop for a quick photo with the old #20 car...

And there it is......reality hits and the boys gone mad with laughter and shock!!!

what a way to spend the day with your son! DREAMS DO COME TRUE.....if you make them!!

oh and a cool crafty mom side note.....I had him sign the scrapbook page I did of the first time I took Wyatt to a nascar race! Now that's not something you have in your scrapbooks to often!!! Great thinkin' I must say!

Boy or Girl?

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!! =)

I'm 19 weeks due 7-15

I still got it!! hehe

I had to get to the store to get something for breakfast this morning but I was feeling horrible so I threw on a sweatshirt and some tennis and ran out for a quick second. I hadn't even brushed my teeth yet because a new tooth brush was on my list since mine had an accidental rendezvous with the toilet and my hair was unbrushed and thrown in a pony tail. As I came out of the store an older gentleman was getting out of his car next to me that had these really cool head lights. I commented about them and he told me they made them for my truck too but I mentioned that they probably wouldn't look as good on my truck and you know what he said.....he said that as long as I was in it they would...I smiled and simply said thank you you just made my day!

I know we all love our husbands very much ladies but really once in a while when you haven't even brushed your teeth yet it's nice to know......YOU STILL GOT IT!!! =)
