{about you}

I started this blog to keep family and friends updated on our little family but I think one of the key parts to relationships is to make an effort to get to know those who want to know you. So I found these conversation cards that I am going to post every so often in hopes of learning more about all of you! Just leave a comment with your answer or thoughts asked by the card. Since this is the first one I figured I'd make it a fun one!!

{dads and boys}

Tyler just took another big dad step with Wyatt.....he got to pull out his first tooth! He passed up the tricking a kid into it step and said "ok I'm gonna pull it out now...." and with one big yank Wyatt is less one tooth! Don't you just love dads?!!


For some reason Wyatt's baby teeth just haven't been wanting to come out...it's been at least 4 or 5 years since he lost a tooth....thus the worlds greatest "dad just pulled out my tooth" face!!! Notice Tyler "well it's out now" face....what a pair!!

I LOVE MY BOYS!!!!!

{Puuuuweee}

This is Buddy getting a bath at 11 o'clock at night Monday. This is also Tyler trying so hard to stay mad while I'm laughing so hard I just about peed!! And lastly this is Buddy trying to figure out why that cute little black and white critter in the front yard didn't want to play with him!!!!

Yes Buddy got "skunked"!!

The laughter took over and Tyler was more mad that it was funny than the fact that we had to bath Buddy in the middle of the night! I wish I had a tape recorded to capture every hilarious word he mumbled at that dog the whole while he was drying him!! It started out with "you stupid dog...." type of ranting to "those guys are not your friends...." to "bet you'll never sniff a skunk butt again..." of course his actual words were way funnier! HA HA HA

So as the night went on we had a good laugh watching Buddy pace the floors rubbing his head in every corner of the house trying to get the burning to stop....sad for him I know but really it was TOO FUNNY!!!

He even decided the book shelf and back of the couch might be of used to him....

Horaay for my ever so entertaining dog!!


P.S. In defense of Buddy I suppose I should mention that he had been outside for all of 5 minutes or less. He ran out by the gate where he likes to poop and was trying to do his business when the skunk who was on the other side of the fence sprayed him.....hopefully he's learned to poop before it gets dark!!

{The dog ate my homework!}

The oldest excuse in the book right? What teacher has EVER actually fallen for this one? Well let's hope Wyatt's teacher does when he sees the proof....

{where did the time go?}

I just watched my son reach up and grab the box of cookies on top of the fridge.....how did he get so big? It seems like just yesterday when I came out of the bathroom and found all the kitchen drawers opened like step ladders and my 18 month old son sitting on top of the fridge to eat the cookies!

Oh how the time goes by.....I love you Wyatt! And even though James is on his way I hope you know that after all our years together just the two of us.....You'll ALWAYS be my baby!!!

{Humbling Experience}

So we've just finished thursday family game night. Tonight we played Disney's version of Sorry. Now maybe it's because it's a fun game or maybe it's because I always win at it but either way it's one of my favorites! So tonight it was neck and neck as all three of us had three guys in our home space and took turns pushing each others last pawn back as far away from winning as we could. I was the closest to my home whenI kid you not Tyler drew a 10 card. For those of you that don't know the rules you have to land into your home space by exact count, a pawn could be 2 spaces away forever if you don't draw a two card. Well as you can probably guess....Tyler was 10 spaces from his home! What are the odds? Seriously! Tyler VERY RARELY wins at board games and I VERY RARELY loose at sorry but low and behold tonight was his lucky night! He had a good laugh and well I was in a cheery mood so I laughed as well of course it followed by "don't get used to it" with a challenging smirk and then "ok let's go for seconds". Then Wyatt drew the next card with his last blue pawn half way to his home and I kid you not again if the little booger didn't draw the BLUE 12!!! In the Disney version the cards have numbers and colors. If you pick one with your color there are "special" instructions on it....the 12 cards all say "If your the (whatever color) card move your lead pawn directly to home or move 12." Yes not only did I not win at a game I ALWAYS win but I completely lost....even trying for second place!!!

I DECLARE A REMATCH!!!!!!!!!! =)
