{finally}

Well I finally picked a name and started a crafty blog! It's not all fancied up yet but for now it is up and running! I have lots of great things planned for this blog! {Halloween}

So I'm playing a little bit of catch up...sorry!

We had fun trick or treating with James and Wyatt this year! We all dressed up and headed out to see how full our candy baskets would get (well Wyatt's anyway) It was a fun night but a bitter sweet night for mom...James' very first time trick or treating (or at least going along for the ride) and Wyatt's last year! I can hardly believe he'll be 12 soon!

We went trick or treating another family from church.
It's always more fun when the kids have more kids to go with.

James' new favorite thing to play with (aside from his apple) is a blanket...it's so funny to watch. He'll even play with a burp rag if it's close enough to reach!

{if the shoes fits...}

....put it in your own room! I swear my boys can't seem to figure out what a closet is for! I am ALWAYS finding shoes and socks all over the house! But I had to chuckle a little when I came around the chair and found this as I was cleaning up the living room!

{reading material}

I am always pleased when I come into the room and find that my child's choice of reading material is the friend magazine!

{new babies}

James Tyler Allen Simpkins 4 days old

What a special joy these two have brought to our families! When they are older we can tell them all the fun stories their mommies had being pregnant together! I am so excited to watch them grow and learn new things! I am eternally grateful to have such an amazing best friend to share this fun time with!! (my husband too of course but let's be realistic...you're bff is the one who will actually listen when you start talking about how grown up your child's poop is becoming!) I love you Jennifer! Thanks for getting fat with me!!! =) Now we can burn it all off chasing these two around!

{helping hands}

I woke up one morning when James was only a two weeks old and this is what I saw! I was so glad my camera was right next to me on the floor! Wyatt had just come in to check on both of us and James was just laying there awake so he decided to try and rock him back to sleep. He didn't want to disturb mommy! It was so precious! Little did he know that mommies don't ever "really fall asleep".
